About the initiative:
This initiative aims to conduct an environmental and socio-economic assessment of potential locations for the establishment of 50 national parks. The initiative also aims to assess the locations’ competitive advantage and viability for infrastructure development.
- The initiative contributes to the SGI targets by planting 10 Mn trees which is 0.1% of the target. and by reducing carbon emissions by 7.2 Mn tons
Initiative goals:
- Reduce carbon emissions by 7.2 Mn tons.
- Provide nature-based solutions to carbon capture and combat climate change.
- Enhance air quality.
- Improve quality of life.
- Promote sustainable practices by using treated wastewater for plantation irrigation.
