Camping is a recreational activity that involves staying outdoors for a certain period of time to enjoy nature, relieve the stress of daily life, and provide participants with the opportunity to learn and practice new skills. At the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification, we work to provide green environments that attract visitors and are suitable for camping and caravans throughout the Kingdom.

Safe Camping

For safe camping, we recommend the following:

  1. Take precautions against any dangers around your camping area.
  2. Bring a sufficient amount of water and food.
  3. Check the weather conditions before heading to your destination.
  4. Ensure you have first aid equipment available.
  5. Familiarize yourself with public services at and around the site.
  6. Be cautious of wildlife.
  7. Drive carefully and avoid damaging the vegetation cover.
  8. Leave the area clean after camping and place waste in designated bins.
  9. Avoid using local firewood and instead use imported firewood.
  10. Use campfires safely and utilize proper tools to ignite them in a way that protects the vegetation cover.

Additionally, it is recommended to consider the following:

  1. Check the area around you.
  2. Keep the fire simple and monitor it continuously.
  3. Keep an eye on your children.
