His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Northern Borders Region, inaugurated five major projects aimed at enhancing vegetation cover and combating desertification. The initiative, launched in the presence of His Excellency Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen AlFadley, Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, and Dr. Khaled bin Abdullah Al-Abdulkader, CEO of the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC), align with Saudi Vision 2030 by promoting environmental sustainability and improving public services. The Governor also laid the foundation stone for the rehabilitation and development of Ma’ila National Park.

During his visit, Dr. Al-Abdulkader attended a meeting with the Minister and key environmental leaders to discuss critical environmental initiatives. He also participated in an open forum with local citizens to address their environmental concerns, explore relevant projects, and respond to public inquiries.

The NCVC CEO also toured the center’s regional branch, where he met with personnel, reviewed ongoing projects, and visited key vegetation restoration areas across the region.
