The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) in collaboration with the Taima Municipality and several relevant authorities, organized an initiative yesterday to plant 1,000 saplings at the Centennial Park in Taima Governorate, located in the Tabuk region. The event was attended by the Deputy Governor of Taima, Mohammed bin Matrouk Al-Zwain.

The center confirmed that this initiative coincides with the 2024 tree planting season, under the slogan "We Plant it for Our Future," aimed at enhancing the vegetation cover in the governorate. It is part of the efforts to support the "Saudi Green Initiative," which seeks to activate the community's role in environmental and climate action, unify efforts to achieve sustainability, and accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable environment in the Kingdom. The center also affirmed its commitment to improving vegetation cover in the governorate and combating desertification, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to enhance quality of life and preserve natural resources.
