They are concerned with issuing permits and licenses for vegetation activities, implementing the sanctions regime in accordance with the vegetation regulations, and coordinating with the competent authorities regarding the apprehension of violations of the environmental system.
The Department is doing a great deal of work in combating desertification by protecting and preserving vegetation to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals for Vegetation Lands to mitigate drought and sand crawl, as one of the basics of developing and increasing vegetation is to protect it in its natural environments and to preserve it from mispractices and natural hazards.
