About the initiative:
This initiative aims to study planting 10 Bn trees over the coming decades. which is equivalent to rehabilitating nearly 40 Mn Ha of degraded vegetation.
This initiative comes to participate in achieving 100% of the targets of the Saudi Green Initiative. And to contribute to global initiatives supporting the reduction of land degradation and the promotion of terrestrial habitat conservation.
Initiative goals:
- Increase vegetation and improve quality of life.
- Providing additional natural habitats for endangered animal species.
- Contribute to mitigating the current impacts and risks of climate change (such as extreme weather events and storms).
- Helping to sustain local production.
- Educating society on the importance of vegetation for climate change, soil protection, and quality of life.
- Provide guidelines on how to initiate the plantation process of 10 Bn trees.
- Provide necessary insights to achieve optimal Environmental Awareness.
