The National Greening Program is one of the key initiatives contributing to the realization of the Saudi Green Initiative. It builds bridges of cooperation between sectors (public, private, and nonprofit) to preserve environmental integrity and natural resources. The program focuses on utilizing the Kingdom's wide variety of native plant species for afforestation activities across 13 regions, relying on rainwater and treated water for irrigation, as well as seawater for planting mangrove forests. Additionally, the program promotes the adoption of nature-based solutions to enhance and sustain vegetation cover, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Program Targets:
2030: 400 million trees
2060: 4.7 billion trees
2100: 10 billion trees
